A POSITIVE news writer and designer has partnered with a holiday resort company to spread happy news.
UK holiday resort operator Darwin Escapes has joined with Emily Coxhead, creator of The Happy Newspaper, with an aim to spread positivity and happy news across their 22 resorts.
The illustrator has designed an exclusive Darwin Escapes duck and suitcase which will be available for a limited time to those holidaying at their resorts during the summer months.
Copies of the 14th edition of The Happy Newspaper will also be available in limited supply across the resorts’ receptions and every member of staff will also receive a copy.
Emily Coxhead said: “I’m super excited to be working alongside Darwin Escapes on this lovely happy partnership bringing together the joy of holidays with my colourful illustrations, for this this fab duck and tiny suitcase - which I absolutely love.
“I wanted to capture the essence of celebrating new memories whilst sharing some happy news and wonderful people along the way.”
Lindsey Esse, managing director of Talacre-based Darwin Escapes, said: “We are so pleased to have partnered up with Emily Coxhead and her creation of the Happy Newspaper.
"We believe it will be a great addition to our resorts during the summer months, providing some positive news whilst our guests holiday with us.
“Our Darwin Escapes ducks and suitcases are a popular holiday keepsake, so we can’t wait to see what our guests think of the limited edition designs created by Emily.”
A ‘name the duck’ competition will also be launched to kick start the partnership and help find a name for the brand new Darwin Duck designed by the Happy Newspaper creator.
