A VEHICLE had to be abandoned on a busy dual carriageway after bursting into flames on the border between England and Wales.
Reports of the car fire on the A483 - near Rossett, Wrexham - flooded in to both North Wales and Cheshire Fire and Rescue services, with the latter attending the incident.
The fire, which took place shortly after 6.00pm on Friday evening (May 17), caused major delays around the Posthouse roundabout as crews battled to extinguish the flames.
Damage to the white Mercedes has mostly been dealt to the front of the vehicle, although the interior was completely ripped apart by the flames.
