FIRE trucks were used to fight dirt not fire at a charity car wash.
Dozens of passing vehicles underwent a powerful wash in Holywell, using the jets from the appliances.
Staff at Holywell Fire Station were raising funds for a charity close to their hearts.
A spokesman for North Wales Fire and Rescue said: "We had a busy day with good support from the local community, raising a total of £312 for The Fire Fighters Charity."
The charity supports thousands of beneficiaries a year through a broad range of services for current and former fire service personnel, and those dependant on fire staff.
These services range from physiotherapy, psychological therapy, rehabilitation, health and well-being, and mental health support.
