A LLANGOLLEN beauty spot has been closed again by firefighters only six hours after it reopened due to a re-ignition.
North Wales Fire and Rescue were called to reports of a large inferno on a Llantysilio mountainside, Llangollen, at around 2.20pm on Thursday, July 19.
They have been dealing with the fire for 18 days.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Tweeted this evening: "Four crews dealing with hotspots and fire around Berwyn quarry area.
"Horseshoepass Road closed [from] Llantysilio Village to Ponderosacafe both directions. Keep away from Mountain. Crews working in difficult circumstances."
The road was announced as open at around 9am this morning, with one crew in attendance using dampening techniques after crews carried out inspections overnight on Saturday and checked for hotspots.
Firefighters were also forced to close the road between Llantysilio village and the Ponderosa Cafe in both directions following a re-ignition in one area yesterday.
People have been advised to avoid the mountain for safety while fire experts carry out their duties.
