A MAN from Buckley who went missing after setting out to go shopping was found hanged, it was revealed at the opening of an inquest.
Police were alerted on June 10 when Emrys Jones failed to return home after saying he was going to the Homebase store in Mold and did not answer his phone.
The North East Wales Search and Rescue Team was called in when his Citroen Picasso car was found in Kinnerton Lane and Mr Jones, 68, was found on June 12 in nearby Blueberry Wood, part of the Hawarden Castle estate.
After a post-mortem examination the provisional cause of death was given as hanging, but at the hearing in Ruthin John Gittins, coroner for North Wales East and Central, said samples had been sent for toxicology tests.
Mr Jones, of Victoria Road, Buckley, was a sales manager and is understood to have worked at one time for Kuehne Nagel Logistics.
The inquest was adjourned to a date to be fixed.
