A new temporary post office is coming to Sychdyn.
Following the closure of the Post Office on London Road in June, postal officials have secured plans to bring a “temporary agent” to an alternative location in the area.
A new hosted outreach service will be operated from Soughton Memorial Hall as of Wednesday, March 28, while the Post Office “continue to work towards a long term solution.”
Carol Williams, network operations manager, told David Hanson MP for Delyn: “I know the local community will join me in welcoming this good news and hope that you and our customers will continue to use this service."
Mr Hanson is pleased a new service will be available to benefit residents of a village who have been without a Post Office for almost six months.
A wide range of services will continue to be available, and access will be at side level. There will be a car park with a disabled space at the hall.
The new location is set to re-establish the village status quo, and customers will be glad that the new location is only 320 metres from the original Post Office branch, and is easily accessible by foot.
