Loving Birthday Memories 24th August

"We sat beside your bedside and held your hand with love.
We stroked your brow with tenderness and gave you all our love.
In tears we watched you sink and slowly fade away.
Although our hearts were breaking, we knew you couldn't stay.
They say that time will heal the wound and teach us to forget.
But time so far has only shown how much we miss you yet.
Wish him happy birthday Lord and when you see him smile.
