BELLIS Robert Elwyn Phd Passed away suddenly on 24th May in Ravenna, Ohio USA. Loving son of Percy and Sallie Bellis of Rhos, Elwyn leaves his wife Joan and sons Ian and Gabe and daughter-in-law Sarah. He is remembered with love by his family and friends in Wales, his sister Gwenda, brother John, brother-in-law Malcolm and sister-in-law Stella.

It's hard to believe it's just about a couple of weeks until my dad will have been gone a year. Stolen from us by the **** that is AML Leukemia, although he fought it so well for over a year at age 83.

He taught my brother and I our love for Manchester United, for Cymru football, and for the left side of politics. But more than that, he taught us how to be men. For all of our opinions on sport, politics, and everything else, what we learned was, among many other things, how to work hard, how to be the best people possible to those we care about, and how to live a good life.

As a side note on politics, he taught me that two of best political phrases were 'Labour Gain' & 'Labour Hold'. I am confident that they're both going to be said quite a bit later this year.

I miss him every day. He was simply the best.
