SMITH Malcolm Richard Christie With great sorrow we announce the death of Malcolm Richard Christie Smith, who died of sepsis on 19th February 2023 at St James' Hospital, Leeds. Husband to Leanne, son of Ferelith and Robert Smith, brother to Claire. There will be a service for the celebration of his life at St Mary's Church, Chirk on Wednesday 15th March 2023 at 3pm. I met Malc through a mutual friend in a fantasy football group during lockdown and he became a good friend in his own right. He was very interested in my amateur photography exploits and enthusiastic about the challenges I entered. Plans for the group as a whole to meet up at some point this year in person have been rudely shattered. I am deeply regretful that I never got to meet you in person, Malc. You had become a good friend to me.
