HARRISON

HARRISON. - The Funeral has taken place of William Arthur Harrison who lived at Victoria Road, Brynteg, Wrexham and passed away at home on 17th September, 2010, aged 97 years. He leaves his children Maureen, David and Glyn, son-in-law Ken, daughters-in-law Beryl and the late Dol, grandchildren Paul, Mark, Nia, Lee and Rhiannon, great grandchildren Charlotte, Megan, Lois, Bethan, Philip, John and Heddus and sister Connie. Mr Harrison was an ex miner working in the pits all of his life. He was one of the last surviving men of the Gresford Pit disaster. He was also a fireman at Bersham Colliery. The Funeral Service was at St. Paul's Church, Pentre Broughton followed by Interment in the Churchyard on September 23rd, 2010 and was conducted by Rev. James Aylward. Bearers were Kenneth Davies, David Harrison, Paul Davies and Lee Harrison. Mourners were Maureen and Ken (daughter and son-in-law), David and Beryl (son and daughter-in-law) Glyn (son), Paul and Elaine, Mark and Heather, Lee and Nia, Rhiannon and David (grandchildren), also great grandchildren, sister Connie and many relatives and friends. Flowers were sent by the family only.
THANKS - The family of the late William Arthur Harrison wish to thank all relatives, friends and neighbours for their sympathy in their bereavement. Thanks also to Roberts Bros. for their kindness at our sad loss, thanks to Rev. James Aylward and for donations amounting to £200 for Nightingale House Hospice.
