THE team at a North Wales animal rescue centre is looking for new homes for their furry residents.
North Clwyd Animal Rescue (NCAR) have cats, dogs and some smaller animals, all hoping to find their forever home.
The staff and volunteers at the Trelogan-based charity, in Flintshire, know the animals as individuals, and therefore know what kind of home they are more likely to thrive in.
Whether it's a dog, cat, rabbit or guinea pig, staff are on hand to advise on the character and suitability of each.
They also make sure potential new owners are aware of the ongoing costs of a pet, including food and vet bills, which can often be for unexpected treatment.

But thankfully there are plenty of responsible, loving people and families looking to give an animal a loving new home.
And there are always animals of all types, ages and needs that will be the perfect match.
Here we meet just some of those at NCAR looking for a new home...
• For more details, please visit ncar.org.uk or if you would like to support the charity without adopting, you can visit their cafe, open from 10.30am to 3.30pm. They also accept donations at the centre between 10am and 4pm.
You can also help by fundraising, sponsoring a kennel or supporting one of the NCAR charity shops in the region.
• Bandit is a three-year-old male cat who came into care after being hit by a car, he suffered a fractured jaw which has now been fixed, so he is ready to find a new home. He is a friendly boy who loves having a fuss once he knows you. Bandit is looking for a quiet adult-only home with cat-savvy owners, as NCAR has no history on him. They are ideally looking for a home in a fairly quiet area for him, so he can explore safely and hopefully not have another run in with a car.
• Four-year-old shar-pei cross Simba is a gorgeous boy who was brought to the rescue as a stray. He is a very sweet boy who has the cutest little puppy-dog face. He can be a little nervous at times, and is a little scared of traffic, so living close to a main road would not be desirable for this boy. He is fairly clean in the kennel, so it does suggest he is housetrained, however, the centre cannot guarantee this. He is ok with other dogs, but does need his confidence building around them, so anyone wanting to take him on would have to be willing to work on this with him.
• Carter is an eight-month-old cat who came into care due to financial reasons. He is a sweet lad who loves attention. He is very playful boy but can play rough at times. His previous owner described him as clingy and said he follows you around. He is looking for an adult-only cat-savvy home, as he is known to do playful bites on your hand, so will need mentally stimulating in other ways (toys etc) to try and break this behaviour. In his previous home he was mostly indoors but he is looking for a home with a safe outdoor area, as being out and about exploring will help his behaviour too.
• Debbie is about five-years-old, and a sweet girl who was brought to the rescue as a stray. She loves people, and greets everyone she meets with enthusiasm. She is good with other dogs and so could potentially live with a compatible dog. In typical hound style, she has her nose to the ground when out on walks, and her recall is not good. She is likely to have a high prey drive too, so she would not be able to be off lead. The rescue are unsure as to whether she is housetrained, so this would have to be taken into consideration with anyone wanting to take Debbie on. She has a lot of potential and will make someone a loving and sweet companion.
• Dina is eight-months-old and came into care with a few other cats. She is a friendly girl but can be timid at times. She can be rehomed with sensible children 12 years and above. Dina is looking for a home with people who will be around to continue her socialisation. She can be rehomed with compatible other cats, as long as owners have the capability to do slow introductions. She is looking for a home with a safe outdoor area for her to explore once she is old enough to venture out.
• Milo is a two-year-old French bulldog, a sweet boy who was signed over to the rescue due to showing aggression to visiting grandchildren and to his owners around food. For this reason, NCAR will be looking for an adult-only home with no visiting children. He has had at least two homes in his short life. We were also told he wasn't very good with other dogs. On initial tests, he has shown to have a lot of insecurities around other dogs and so would be looking for a home on his own where this can be worked on. He is very boisterous and playful and loves playing with toys. He needs a quiet home where he will be able to build a good foundation of trust to help him overcome his insecurities - and whoever takes him on needs to be fully committed to taking on his issues - as he really needs his next home to be his forever home.
