BOWLERS impressed as Northop Hall gained their first Liverpool Competition win of the season at Ainsdale.
The Division Two contest was settled when Ainsdale were all out for 76, with Liam Evans Ford (5-19) and Nawid Mohammad Kabir (3-21) in fine form. Earlier, Matthew Jones’ 44 helped Hall to 122 all out (Dilanka Auwardt 7-35).
Chirk’s Shropshire League season started with a Division One defeat at Wroxeter & Uppington, who set 174 for seven. Saliya Kumara top scored with 52, as Luke Gardner (4-51) and Liam Walker (2-34) made their mark with the ball.
Gardner’s unbeaten 26 was the highlight in Chirk’s 69 all out.
Chirk Seconds defeated Cae Glas Seconds by 42 runs in Division Seven with Dale Randall smashing a brilliant 96 for Chirk and he also took two wickets.
