CRAIG HARRISON has set his sights on a hat-trick of domestic trebles with The New Saints.

On the possibility of a treble, Saints’ boss Harrison told the club’s’ YouTube channel: “That would be fantastic. That’s what we’ve set our sights on trying to do.

“Fortunately in my time here, I’ve done it twice, so it’s something really, really special. The Welsh Cup is really special.”

On completing an unbeaten Cymru Premier League season, Harrison added: “I’ve spoke about it before, it’s not something you go into the season thinking about, a little bit like when we broke the world record.

“It’s not something you want to tick off. You want to win the league, win the Welsh Cup, win the Nathaniel Cup.

“It’s not been done for about 25 years in this league and I think the manner as well. Winning 30 out of the 32 games, it’s not been 15 draws and scrape through. It’s been 30 wins and two draws, so the players have got to take all the credit for it.

“They’ve been relentless and they’ve been fantastic and it’s a pleasure to work with them.”

Leo Smith, one of a number of ex-Wrexham players in the Saints’ ranks that include captain Chris Marriott, Adrian Cieslewicz and Blaine Hudson, is looking forward to he final.

“We’ve done so well through the season,” winger Smith told Sgorio. “We wanted to finish making sure we hadn’t lost through the season and we did that.

“I think the first time for this club, they were saying, so it’s great.”
