THERE’S been a shortage of away day joy for supporters but the situation will look a lot better if Wrexham end a frantic February with victory at Forest Green Rovers tonight.

The games have come thick and fast this month with a lot of travelling for the Red Army who have backed their team in big numbers all season.

Nearly 900 fans witnessed a 1-0 defeat at far-flung Gillingham on Saturday when Wrexham saw a lot of the ball but just lacked a cutting edge where it matters most in the final third.

Despite the loss, Phil Parkinson’s men will be back in the top-three if they pick up three points at second bottom Rovers.

It’s tight at the top and with none of their automatic promotion rivals in action this evening, Wrexham would move just one point behind co-leaders Mansfield and Stockport if they win.

Rovers are battling for survival and fellow strugglers Sutton put up a real fight against Wrexham just a fortnight ago but leaving Gloucestershire with a welcome away victory would be a huge boost heading into the final two months of the season when it’s still all to play for.
