A RESCUE team rushed to the aid of a person believed to be stuck in mud.
Flint Coastguard was called out alongside colleagues from Wirral Coastguard Rescue Team to reports of a person stuck in the mud in the vicinity of Flint Castle at about 1.45am on Saturday (April 27).
A spokesperson said: "Thankfully as the team arrived the casualty had managed to free themselves, due to the nature of the incident the team remained on stand-by to provide safety cover for the next hour whilst North Wales Police ensured the person made it to a place of safety. Also tasked were our colleagues from RNLI Flint Lifeboat.
"If you ever find yourself or someone else in danger at the coast, dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard."
