ONLY one match survived in the North Wales League and Hawarden Park climbed into second spot in Division One courtesy of their 71-run victory at Menai Bridge seconds.
Campbell Marr (29), Phil Bradfield (27) and Chris Geary (26) helped Park to 154 for nine from their reduced 30 overs.
Despite a knock of 50 from Sam Bixby, Menai Bridge’s effort was halted on 83 (Ian Martin 3-18, James Martin 2-15, Adam De Rycke 2-12).
Northop Hall had to be satisfied with a draw from their Liverpool Competition Division Two trip to Southport Trinity - but they were just two boundaries away from success.
Opener Scott Francis (44) helped the hosts to 138 for six declared in 32 overs.
Liam Evans Ford (3-64) and Will Edwards (3-41) impressed with the ball for Hall, who replied with 128 for four. Ben Arden (53) and Alex Smith (52) led the chase.
