Wrexham ended a disappointing season with a 1-1 draw against Eastleigh at The Silverlake Stadium.

There was little goalmouth incident in the first half, although Eastleigh almost took the lead in the 31st minute when Sam Matthews' corner struck the crossbar and Shwan Jalal saved Ben Close's follow-up.

But Wrexham took the lead two minutes into the second half.

Iffy Allen's shot was blocked into the path of Jordan White who scored from close range.

Matthews went close for Eastleigh before Wrexham responded with Ollie Shenton's drive which found the sidenetting.

But Eastleigh equalised in the 74th minute.

James Constable squared the ball to Matt Tubbs who slotted past Jalal from six yards.

Scott Wilson and Tubbs went close as Eastleigh continued to press while White's header was cleared off the line for Wrexham in added time.

Wrexham (3-5-2): Jalal; Carrington, Marx, Jennings; Barry, Evans, Allen, Penn (Riley 62), Shenton; Harry (Massanka 62), White. Subs not used: Dunn, Smith, Williams.
