Dean Keates insists mid-table Wrexham still have a lot to play for this season.
Wrexham have climbed to 10th position in the National League table and have 49 points after losing just one of eight outings.
Keates wants to finish as high as possible and he reminded players that their futures are at stake.
“There are still 33 points available and we want to finish as high as we can,” said Keates.
“There is a lot to play for, not just for us as staff but the lads have got to earn the right to be in the building next season.
“There are one or two already done for next season, if the others don’t pull their weight then they are not helping themselves.
“Whatever game it is, this game or the last game of the season, there is still something to play for and that is the reputation of the football club.”
Keates, who wants to make winning a habit, added: “Since I have come in the building, the mentality has changed and I only want it to keep getting better.
“I only want winners in the building, and that is going to win at whatever they do in training or games on a Saturday.
“If we can’t go down or make the play-offs, I still want to win every football match. It is about habits and I want the club accustomed to winning football matches.”
And Keates was delighted Wrexham bounced back from the 2-0 home defeat against Aldershot by winning 1-0 at Solihull Moors last Saturday.
“A defeat at home is something we have not been accustomed to this season too much, we asked the lads for a response and there was one,” said Keates.
“It was a decent result at Solihull and we are on 49 points. Maybe one more win and I think that will almost guarantee that we will still be in the National League next season.
“We have come a long way in a short space of time and got points on the board lately.”
