SAM RICKETTS insists none of his players will be leaving Wrexham before the transfer window closes.
Centre-back Manny Smith has been linked with a move to the Football League, with Walsall, managed by former Reds boss Dean Keates, among the clubs rumoured to be interested in the defender.
But Ricketts says Smith, or any of his team-mates, won't be exiting The Racecourse before Thursday's deadline.
"Manny won't be going anywhere," said Ricketts.
"I know nothing about it. Manny is a huge part of this club, this is his second spell here and he is a big part of this team now.
"From our point of view, I won't be selling Manny Smith.
"We are not a club looking to offload anyone. We are really happy with what we have got."
Former Wales international Ricketts, who has assembled a 20-man squad, has not got any new signings lined up but says he is always looking for quality players to improve Wrexham.
"I will always be open to any good players," added Ricketts. "If I can upgrade the squad in any department then I will always do that because we need a team and a squad, and it is a squad game nowadays.
"I wouldn't have liked it as a player if I played well on the weekend but then maybe don't play on the Tuesday because someone has come in with fresh legs, but that is the way football is nowadays.
"So if I can bring anyone into our squad who ups the level then I will do so.
"If something becomes available then we are always capable of doing a deal."
