EMERGENCY services have been dealing with an incident after a bus caught fire on Deeside Industrial Estate.
A spokesperson for North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said they had received a call at 8:11am this morning following reports that a shuttle bus was on fire in Zone 3 of Deeside Industrial Estate
Two fire appliances from North Wales Fire and Rescue Service were sent to the fire where they used breathing apparatus and two hoses to tackle the fire.
A spokesperson for the fire service confirmed there was "100% fire damage" to the bus.
The Deeside Shuttle bus provides transport on demand for Flintshire workers to and from Deeside Industrial Park.
A spokesperson for Flintshire County Council said: “Flintshire County Council received a report of a vehicle fire on one of the Deeside Shuttle buses, which occurred around 07:50 hours this morning.
"No one was injured as a result of the incident and no passengers were on board the vehicle at the time and the driver had safely alighted before the arrival of the fire crews.
"The Council wishes to reassure passengers that a replacement vehicle will be sourced as soon as possible and the bus service will not be impacted by the incident.”
