FIREFIGHTERS were at the scene of a vehicle blaze on a busy A483 junction in Wrexham this afternoon (Wednesday, July 31).
The incident happened on the northbound offslip at the busy J5 Mold Road interchange.
Traffic Wales said the slip road was closed as firefighters dealt with the incident.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said one crew from Wrexham were called to the incident involving a Ford Galaxy at 3.11pm.
Firefighters used two hose reel jets and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the blaze - which was out by 3.41pm.
A spokesperson said the fire was caused by an electrical fault in the car's engine - which suffered 100 per cent fire damage. The driver's side of the vehicle suffered 25 per cent.
The slip road was reopened by 5pm.
