A COFFEE shop has launched in north Wales serving delicious and locally produced hot drinks with a twist.

'Meet me in the Morning North Wales' is a small coffee business local to Wrexham serving customers in a unique mobile trailer.

After achieving a first-class degree in hospitality, founder Rebecca McHugh returned home with the dream of creating something ‘proudly Welsh.’

She has been working on the project for months with the support of her Dad who is also thrilled with the outcome.

From buying an old trailer to completely refurbishing it and now being on the road, Rebecca says the project is finally set to launch this weekend. Courtesy of Wrexham Bean Co, the trailer will be serving fresh coffee and treats - all locally sourced.

Rebecca adds: “It has always been my dream to have my own business in the sector I’m most passionate about.

”I wanted to create a sustainable cafe to showcase Welsh hospitality and produce. I couldn’t afford a lease on a cafe so I hoped that by starting small and mobile, I could build something that could be transferred into a cafe when the money allowed.

The Leader:

“I thought that if I don’t start now - then when? So I’ve gone for it and put all my savings into renovating this horsebox, buying all the relevant equipment, changing my car and learning to tow. Learning to reverse with the horsebox on tow has been by far the most difficult part of this project!

“I want to bring Welsh food and drink out of specialty shops and into a setting which is more accessible.”

Registered with the Wrexham Council, the trailer will be primarily based in Wrexham with various locations to be confirmed through social media.

Rebecca has planned a ‘soft launch’ this weekend with all details and the location to be confirmed on social media. It will start with pop-up events before finding ‘regular’ locations to set up in.

She hopes all coffee lovers will tag along and support her brand new venture bringing the best of north Wales to your doorstep.
