WE SPOKE to Wrexham AFC fans ahead of today’s game against Forest Green Rovers, which could see Wrexham secure promotion.

Should Wrexham win at home against League Two's bottom team, and rivals MK Dons and Barrow fail to win, then promotion would be sealed.

This is what Wrexham fans outside the ground had to say...

Phil Parkinson’s side currently sit second in League Two, in their first season back in the Football League.

Today’s game kicks off at 3pm at The Racecourse, with Wrexham fans warned not to invade the pitch if promotion is secured.

Following Saturday's home game against Forest Green, Wrexham travel to Crewe the following Saturday before hosting current league leaders Stockport County on 27 April.

Stockport need only a point against Morecambe to secure their promotion.

Wrexham could join them with victory over bottom club Forest Green, if MK Dons do not beat Mansfield in the battle of fourth against third – that would also send Stockport up even if they lose. The top three are already secure in the play-offs as a minimum and could be joined by MK Dons.

Supporters seemed confident that promotion would be secured when we spoke to them outside the Stok Racecourse today - even if not today.

"For Forest Green it's a massive game," said one. "But play like they played on Tuesday and we will get there."

Another said: "I'm definitely confident. Forest Green are bottom of the table so I believe we could take them.

"Do the boys proud, score more goals."

Another fan added: "I'm really excited - the players are doing a great job, we are very confident."

"It would be nice to get it done today as the more games tick by you start getting a bit edgy," another support said.

"Just get it done."
