CONCERNS that a man had fallen into water sparked a large police presence near the Wrexham-Cheshire border.
Cheshire Police said officers were called to reports regarding the welfare of a man at Pulford shortly after 10.30pm on Saturday (March 30).
A spokesperson said: "The caller reported that a man had fallen into a stream.
"Officers attended the scene and conducted a thorough search of the area, but there was no trace of any persons in the stream."
Witnesses stated that police were searching the Pulford brook in a boat, and that the fire service was also in attendance near the Grosvenor Pulford Hotel.
