A POPULAR retailer is opening its doors on the outskirts of Wrexham's City Centre later this week after months of planning.
Farmfoods will open at Wrexham's Plas Coch Retail Park, situated next door to The Range, on Friday, April 5 at 7am.
Farmfoods has also confirmed it has no plans to close down the store already in Wrexham located on Kingsmill Road.
On the new store, a spokesperson said: "It will offer our full range of branded and own-brand products including frozen food, groceries, chilled foods, bread, milk, fresh fruit and vegetables along with a range of household and other items."
The unit has remained empty since Argos relocated inside Sainsbury's last year, also situated at Plas Coch.
Originally a butchers shop in Aberdeen, Scotland, Farmfoods now has over 300 stores in the UK.

M&S also joined the retail park in December 2023 after relocating from Eagles Meadow Shopping Centre.
There are currently only two empty units available, according to leading property agents Savills.
Customers are encouraged to visit the Farmfoods website to sign up for all special offers which will be coming to the store when it opens.
