ALMOST Home Dog Rescue in Flintshire has appealed to the public in search of a forever home for their gorgeous pups.
The dog shelter in Mold provides a safe haven for dogs who are looking to be re-homed after being abandoned through no fault of their own.
It also aims to support and educate the next generation of dog owners to prevent an increase in the number of pets being carelessly neglected.

Meet Oscar
Oscar sadly found himself with us due to his owner needing to go in to care. Sadly, there was no one in the family able to rehome Oscar.
This boy is a Jack Russell who’s 11 years old and still active and very healthy . He adores his walks and loves to play ball! He is great with dogs out and about but doesn’t like to live with them.
The last three months, Oscar has been in the home on his own with people popping in on him. Thankfully, when we found out about him, we managed to get him into foster quickly. He has settled in beautifully and has been the perfect house guest.
He is so full of life and character. He was a little overweight when his owner first became poorly however the family have worked to get his weight down.
Oscar needs a home where he gets plenty of exercise and not too many treats! He adores going in the car and really enjoys human company.
Meet Carlos
Carlos is a tiny Chihuahua who’s around 12 years old. He was found as a stray and it’s clear he has suffered in his recent years.
His skin and fur was awful but thankfully he is doing better, after a rescue we work with started to get his medical work done. He is now with one of the fosters and doing well.
This little boy is only 2.2kg but when he was found he was 1kg lighter! He still needs to gain weight and condition and thankfully he is continuing to do so. All he needs now is time and TLC.
Carlos adores humans, he loves being with them and loves a cuddle. He is a happy lad who loves to sunbathe and watch the world go by.
He is better as an only dog however, is getting used to them. Almost Home think he may have been bitten by another dog in the past. He can chase a cat but he will listen when told.
Carlos is happy to be handled and loves going in the car. He is clean in the house and loves his food. He really is going to be someone’s best friend.
Meet Smudge
Smudge is a Shihtzu x Toy Poodle who’s 9 years old. He is a sweet lad who wants a calm home environment with company and walks. He adores his walks and going out in the car
This lad found himself in our care due to his owners working hours changing and them not having time to meet his needs. So they thought it was best he was rehome him to find someone who was around and could spend time with him.
When he arrived, it was clear he needed an urgent dental which we have done and he has been neutered and started his vaccinations. He’s now been flead and wormed too.

Smudge is good with other dogs and is happy to say hello. He can be shy around new people and takes a moment to adapt. He would suit a calm home with older, dog-savvy children.
This boy is lovely and will make a great addition to someone’s life. Hopefully, now he has had his dental, he will gain weight as he is underweight. Thankfully, he is a good eater so should gain the weight well.
