A vehicle was destroyed by fire after its engine compartment overheated, it has been confirmed.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service received a call at 10.25pm on Friday reporting the blaze in Buxton Lane, near Brynford.
One crew from Holywell attended the scene and used a hose reel jet, breathing apparatus and a dry powder extinguisher to tackle the flames.
A spokesman for the service confirmed to the Leader on Saturday morning that the cause of the incident was overheating in the vehicle's engine compartment, which resulted in 100 per cent fire damage to the vehicle.
