AN EVENT marshal recruitment evening is taking place in Mold to encourage residents to get involved in volunteering.
Every year, Mold stages popular events such as pancake races, music festivals, Easter fun days, Christmas entertainment, and of course the Mold carnival.
These events would not be possible without the excellent work of volunteers who give up their time to ensure these community led initiatives go smoothly and are enjoyed by all who attend.
With this in mind, an informal information evening will take place at the Daniel Owen Centre on Tuesday, April 18 for residents to find out more about how to become a Mold Events Marshal.
The event will take place from 5.30pm until 7.30pm and will be an opportunity for those interested to meet existing volunteers and hear about the fun they have whilst being involved in pulling together to make these memorable events happen.

A spokesperson for Mold Town Council said: "All these events rely on volunteers, and without volunteers these events could not take place.
"In recent years our band of volunteers has diminished and we are now looking to recruit some new energy into our fantastic volunteer group.
"We don't need a regular weekly commitment to do something, just a few hours before, during and/or after our events to help set up, marshal the event or help clean up afterwards.
"We need a variety of people with different skills and life experiences as there are a variety of roles you could get involved with including event social media, putting up security fences, taking tickets on the gate, making cups of tea, and many other roles.
"An event marshal can be a very varied role!
"Our community works best when we all pull together, some come along and see what's on offer and get involved."
