DEESIDE Taekwondo members recently won an incredible 72 medals during a competition.
On Sunday, February 26, 'One' Martial Arts hosted its annual regional Taekwondo competition at Deeside Leisure Centre.
Just under 1,000 people attended, both as spectators watching and students competing.
Deeside Taekwondo Club entered 51 students and came away with 72 medals.
The club's spectacular haul included 26 gold, 22 silver and 24 bronze medals.
The club had a range of students competing; from those entering for their first time to experienced martial artists - ranging in age from five to the over 40's veterans.
The awards were won across various competitions from sparring to speed kicking.
Darren Richardson, who has been an instructor with Deeside Taekwondo for 32 years, said: "I can say that I am so proud of our club and all our students and qualified instructors who are progressing the students with each session.

"We are so lucky to have our full time academy in Deeside Leisure centre, which has been in the same room for the past 40 years.
"We are always welcoming new beginners as we train seven days a week with our fully qualified black belt team.
"The standard of the competition was high and every student, parent and spectator enjoyed a great event and we now look foward to our next competition."
