THE body of a man in his 70s was discovered on the beach in Llandudno, police have confirmed.
An area of the North Shore prom, opposite Venue Cymru, had been cordoned off by officers this morning (November 29).
Paramedics were also at the scene.
The man was from outside of North Wales.
North Wales Police have confirmed this afternoon: "Police received reports of a body that was found on the beach in Llandudno around 10.30am this morning.
"The body has been identified as a man in his 70s from outside of North Wales. There are no suspicious circumstances and the next of kin have been informed."
Llandudno Coastguard confirmed that it had been assisting police with an incident in the area this morning.
The posted on Facebook: "We were tasked this morning to assist North Wales Police with an incident on Llandudno's North Shore.
"Our involvement concluded shortly before 13:00 when we were stood down and returned to station."
