A FIRE has destroyed a lorry that overturned on the A483 near Wrexham this afternoon (Monday).
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service were alerted to the incident close to the Rhostyllen exit at around 12.20pm and sent two appliances from Wrexham to deal with the flames.
Firefighters used three hose reel jets and two breathing apparatus to put out the blaze but were unable to prevent 100 per cent fire damage being caused to the heavy goods vehicle.
The fire service announced a stop time to the incident shortly after 1pm and believe a fault in the vehicle caused the fire.
A spokesperson for the fire service also confirmed that three people took themselves to hospital following the incident.
The Welsh Ambulance Service has been approached for a comment.
