A SMALL vehicle has been left with damage to its engine after catching fire in the car park of a busy Flintshire retail park.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service were first alerted to the incident at Broughton Shopping Park on Chester Road at 11.39am this morning (Saturday).
One appliance from Deeside went to the scene with firefighters using one hose reel to stop the fire from spreading through the car.
The fire service announced an official stop time little over an hour later at 12.31pm.
It was confirmed by the North Wales Fire and Rescue Service that a fault in the vehicle was the cause of the incident which left the car with damage to the engine and other parts under the bonnet.
