Man to face charges following crash which led to death of Bagillt pair

A MAN is to face charges following a fatal road traffic collision last year.

A 21-year-old man from Leek in Staffordshire is to face charges of causing death by dangerous driving following the fatal accident near Pentrefoelas.

The summons follows a collision on the A543 on Saturday, February 27, 2016 involving a Mercedes SLK and a Renault Clio.

Darren Lowe and his partner Tracy Louise Haley, both of Bagillt, died after the collision between Mr Lowe’s Mercedes and a Renault Clio.

Ms Haley, who was 49, was pronounced dead at the scene while Mr Lowe, who was aged in his 40s, died later at the Royal Staffordshire Hospital in Stoke-on-Trent.

The 21-year-old driver of the Renault Clio is due before Llandudno Magistrates on April 5.
