A GHOST hunt is being held on an unlucky day for some.
The Tivoli Venue in Buckley will play host to the ghost hunt on Friday, January 13, for visitors to explore the spooky venue.
Over the years the Tivoli has become well known for it’s hauntings and recently featured on TV’s Most Haunted.
The original central hall was built in 1880 and was used to host the new silent movies and travelling showmen.
This building was demolished in 1920, and the Tivoli, as it stands today, was built in 1925.
Most of the building is in it’s original condition. Even after a fatal fire in the 1940s, areas of the building are still in a fire damaged state, which adds an extra chilling feel to an already atmospheric building.
As well as hosting a variety of artists and musicians, The Tivoli is said to host many different spirits and ghosts, from the friendly to the malevonent.
The building has been reported to be very ‘paranormally active’, and staff and witnesses say that they never feel alone when they have been in any area of the building.
Visitors to the ghost hunt, which is hosted by Equinox Paranormal Ltd, will be provided with a selection of pieces of equipment to use on the night.
The equipment available includes meters to measure electromagnetic fields (EMF), digital non-contact thermometers, audio recorders, dowsing rods and divination pendulums which are used to seek information.
The team will utilise automatic writing planchettes, laser matrix modules, spirit boxes, as well as other devices into group lead experiments.
Free refreshments will be on offer throughout the evening including hot and cold drinks and soup.
The majority of the event will take place in the dark, so torches and sensible clothing are recommended although some torches will be available to use on the night.
People are also encouraged to bring any scientific or traditional ghost hunting equipment that they own, to add to the overall experience of the group.
Spaces are limited so those wishing to attend are urged to buy tickets quickly before they sell out.
