An electrical fault was the likely cause of a car fire in Wrexham on Wednesday afternoon.
The incident happened at around 2pm on Blue Bell Lane, just outside Pandy when a silver Vauxhall Vectra caught fire.
The owner of the vehicle, who didn't wish to be named, said he noticed smoke coming from underneath the bonnet and managed to pull the car into a side road, before the fire took hold and spread to the carriage.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service were called to the scene and a fire fighter at the scene praised the quick thinking driver for doing his best to get the car off the main road so quickly and calling the fire service.
