A garden created to honour the memory of a popular councillor has been opened.
The garden at St John the Baptist School in Penymynydd was created in memory of councillor Tom Jones, who died in 2016.

Headteacher Anna Stephens explained the scheme was funded partly by a grant from the American bank MBNA and partly by section 106 money the school received from the creation of a Redrow and Elan housing estate nearby.
A plaque commemorating the event was unveiled by Cllr Jones' widow Rita on July 12.
Mrs Stephens said: "Cllr Jones was a very committed and loyal friend to the school and to the community.
"The garden was made in honour of his memory and everything he did for the school.
"It has been a 12 to 18 months project and it will be for use by the pupils and staff, as well as St John the Baptist Church for outdoor services.
"We still have more to do but it is a wonderful addition to the school and the children very much enjoy using that area.
"We're very grateful to the friends of our school and to the parents for their support of this project."
