A CIVIC leader has thanked performers and the public for “a brilliant evening” at his sell-out charity fundraising concert.
The Mayor of Mold, Cllr Brian Lloyd, heralded the performances of some of Flintshire’s most talented artists following the concert at Clwyd Theatr Cymru on Tuesday.
The 2013 Britain's Got Talent finalists Richard and Adam Johnson headlined the concert staged in aid of both the Alzheimer’s Society and the Stroke Association which will help people in the area.
The two brothers from Holywell were joined on stage by Flint Male Voice Choir as well as other local talent including Gemma McDowall, Elite School of Dance, Tommy Barron, Manon and Lleuwen Hedd, and Ellison Roberts.
Cllr Lloyd said: "The performances were fantastic and it was a brilliant evening all round.
“We have had lots of good feedback and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.
“It was great to see so many people from the local community as well as from further afield turn out to support the event, which was in aid of two very good causes.
“Money raised will go towards helping people in the area.”
The total amount raised is to be confirmed.
