FLINT MOUNTAIN are in the box seat to take this season's Ardal North West League crown.

Aden Shannon's side, who won 5-1 in their key midweek clash at fellow title challengers Llay Welfare, are back home at The Essity Stadium against Pwllheli tomorrow.

Llay, who still have a game in hand on Flint, head to St Asaph City, who drew 1-1 at Llannefydd on Wednesday night, knowing a top two finish would still give them the chance of making it into Cymru North via the end of season play-offs.

Rhyl 1879 completed their campaign with a 3-1 win at Llangefni Town where the league’s 24-goal top scorer Callum Parry bagged a hat-trick.

Bethesda Athletic made sure they’ll be playing in this league next season after a 3-0 success at Nantlle Vale while it ended 1-1 between Conwy Borough and Llanrwst United, who have a home game with Holyhead Hotspur on Sunday.

Saltney Town will be relegated if they fail to beat Nantlle Vale at home while fellow strugglers Y Felinheli host Llannefydd.

Brickfield Rangers boss Gareth Wilson wants to finish off the season with three wins, starting with a three-point haul from tomorrow’s home game with Llangefni Town.

“The next three games we can really move up the table with three wins. So that is our target,” said Wilson.

In the North East League, Llangollen Town and Cefn Albion both have parts to play in who finishes runners-up behind champions Penrhyncoch.

Second-placed Llanuwchllyn head to Llangollen on the back of a 3-1 victory over Llanrhaeadr.

Will Owen (2) and Mike Pritchard got the goals while third-placed Bow Street, who host Cefn tomorrow, eased to a 3-0 win at Builth Wells.

“Bow Street will be looking to finish in the top two for a play off place and it’s always a tough place to go,” said Cefn coach Ian Andrews.

“It’s been a frustrating couple of months for us with performances up and down.

“We’re a bit low on confidence at the moment but will look to try and finish the season strongly.”

Albion drew 3-3 at home to Llanfair United on Wednesday where Alex Williams, Tom Smith and Jamie Foulkes got their goals in a game where keeper Josh Roberts was sent off in the last minute.

Penrhyncoch complete a superb season at Builth Wells while Llansantffraid also sign off for the campaign at Llandrindod Wells, who were held 2-2 at home by Radnor Valley on Wednesday.

Llanfair host Radnor in tomorrow’s other game.
