WREXHAM AFC has issued a warning to fans ahead of the final match of the 2023/24 season.

Wrexham AFC are set to take on Stockport County at the Stok Cae Ras on Saturday, April 27 as both celebrate promotion to League One for next season.

The club has said there will be a 'lap of honour' after the full-time whistle but only if there is no pitch incursion.

A spokesperson said: "We are all looking forward to celebrating the conclusion of another milestone campaign, and the completion of our back-to-back promotions – for the first time in the club’s history.

"The Wrexham AFC players and staff would like thank you all for your exceptional support again this season, with a lap of honour after the full-time whistle. However, this will only happen if there is no pitch incursion whatsoever.

"It is imperative that all supporters staying behind remain in their seats following the conclusion of the game and supporters are reminded about the dangers of entering the field of play and the penalties that result in such action.

"The club is at risk of further investigations from the FA in the event of a pitch invasion, following supporters also entering the pitch after our last home game against Forest Green Rovers.

"There will be a zero-tolerance approach to any pitch encroachment, and we ask all supporters for their co-operation to ensure we can all celebrate a memorable campaign together.

"Please do not ruin the deserved lap of honour by the players, and risk yourself being banned, facing sanctions or a criminal record, or both."
